Stephen Curry produced a dominant second half to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 120-100 victory over the Miami Heat in San Francisco on 5 November, extending their winning streak to six games.

According to a Reuters report published by The Straits Times, Curry finished with a game-high 29 points, 22 of which came after half-time. The Warriors have not been beaten since opening their campaign with three successive defeats.

Curry struggled before the break, hitting just two of his 10 field-goal attempts and one of five from long range. He was transformed in the second half, converting seven of nine shots, including five of seven three-pointers.

Miami held a 61-58 advantage early in the third quarter after a Klay Thompson jump shot, but Golden State responded with an 18-3 burst. Curry supplied 11 points during that spell, and the Heat were unable to close the gap to fewer than 10 points for the remainder of the contest.

The Warriors' defence, marshalled by Draymond Green, also neutralised Giannis Antetokounmpo after the interval. The forward had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the first half but managed only four points afterwards, making one of four attempts. He ended the night with 20 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Green contributed a game-high 11 assists, while Yaxel Lendeborg posted 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. Golden State's reserves combined for 53 points, with Georges Niang scoring 13 and Brandon Williams adding 10. Will Richard also reached double figures with 10.

For Miami, Davion Mitchell top-scored with 22 points and added eight assists, and Bam Adebayo recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Thompson scored 11 but shot three of 10 from the field.

The Heat were playing on consecutive nights, having needed overtime to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 117-116 away from home on 4 November. They had been chasing a fourth win in five outings following a winless start to the season.
